    Heath from PA Asked

I've seen the answer change from 2016 to 2017 so I wanted to see if it changed for 18. When you buy an annual pass what's the limit for when you can activate it?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heath! I just renewed my Annual Pass for the first time and I was extremely excited to keep the magic going! I remember when I first bought my AP, there was a lovely little “expiration” listed underneath it that gave me a date for which I had to activate by.

My friend purchased a new Annual Pass in January of 2018 and once she linked her AP to her My Disney Experience account, her expiration date read as December 31, 2030. After speaking with a few Cast Members, they agree that this is what you should see when you purchase and link up your ticket. It’s ample time to book a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room to compliment your Annual Pass and start planning your celebratory vacation. On the day that you activate your AP, you’ll have a full 365 days of fun, discounts, and benefits ahead. Be sure to look over the various types of Annual Passes, as they vary from Florida Resident to Platinum, Platinum Plus, and the coast to coast Premier Passport. You’re sure to know which is right for you.

If I can give you a deeper peek into the many benefits of being a Passholder, like my favorite exclusive AP Touch Points queue, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
