When I searched for 2019 dining plan restaurants, Trex and both Rainforest Cafe restaurants showed up, but on my email reservation confirmation, they said those places don't accept dining plans. Can anyone help? My son would really love both of them!

    Hi Melissa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you're already in the Dining Reservation window of your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It's like your trip is becoming even more real as you start to pre-plan your dining locations and then soon your FastPass+ experiences.

It's my understanding that all non-Disney owned restaurants have until sometime in December to decide if they'd like to participate in the next year's Disney Dining Plans or not. Since that time is now, what I think may be happening is that the email reservation part of website defaults every location as non-participating until that deadline, and then everything switches over at once while the Dining Location list is updated more regularly.

I'm confident that both T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe will accept 2019 Disney Dining Plans as they have participated for numerous previous years. An official in-print list of participating locations is usually available within the first few days of each new year; here's the 2018 version. Once the new year rolls around, Google '2019 Disney Dining Plan PDF' for the new list, or please don't hesitate to reach back out to us or the Disney Dining Line at (407) 939-1947 to double check.

Pro Tip: Book a back-up dining location now for each of these meals as a just-in-case. While you technically cannot have two dining reservations for the exact same time, you can book two reservations a minimum of two hours away from each other. Then once you have the confirmation of T-Rex and Rainforest you can cancel the reservations that are no longer needed.

I hope this helped, Melissa, and We'll See You Real Soon!
