2 ?' we need to make resv for Beaches n Cream for an evening of ice cream and also daugher and son in law are looking for a romantic meal one evening but haven't made resv yet. Any ideas on where they can go...leave in 44 days.

Not only do you not need a reservations for Beaches and Cream; it's actually impossible to get one!  Beaches and Cream is one of the few sit-down restaurants at WDW that does not accept advance dining reservations.  If you want to stop in for their infamous kitchen sink, or any other ice cream treat for that matter, you'll have to do so on a walk up basis.  The restaurant is quite small so I recommend being prepared for a wait if you decide to go.

Hmmm...a romantic meal huh?  Your daughter and son in law have plenty of options!  My top choice would be Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge.  The atmosphere there is very romantic, in a woodsy sort of way, and the food is spectacular.  There is also  the California Grill, located at the top of the Contemporary resort.  Lots of folks swear that this is WDW's most romantic restaurant, especially if you can time a dining reservation to coincide with fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.  The California Grill features a look out spot with a beautiful view of the Magic Kingdom.  The food there is equally superb.  The only reason I chose Artist Point over the California Grill is because Artist Point has a quieter atmosphere and may be more conducive to the romance your daughter and her hubby are after.  Hope that helps!
