Scored a Fort Wilderness (tent camping) for the night of October 30th. I see that trick-or-treating is now only available to resort guests. Would we be able to move our car at check-out time on the 30th but stay and enjoy the trick-or-treating?

    Hi Courtney,

What fun you will have camping at the Happiest Place on Earth! I reached out to fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Kay, who spends several months of the year at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, to ensure that I was giving you the most updated information. I know that technically, guests are eligible to enjoy resort amenities up until midnight on the day of their departure. However, Kay has shared some very valuable information with me so that I can pass it along to you. Yes, you can enjoy the trick-or-treating if you can find a space in the overflow lots. However, it is "closed resort", meaning that if you leave, you likely would not be able to drive back in that night. She said they only let reserved guests and dining guests in and they are very strict about this. She says that your best bet is to drop your car off in overflow (if you can find a spot) and do other things via bus that day. She added that if you want any chance at overflow parking, then you need to get there early in the morning.

I hope this helps and that your family is able to stay and enjoy trick-or-treating in the evening.

    Wishing you magical memories,
