We are scheduling a trip and plan to stay in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Does anyone know how large they are (sq footage). I know they sleep 6 but could grandparents and parents with a kid be comfortable? Also, no mention of tv? Any interior photos?

    Hi, David!

This past Christmas my family and I stayed in one of The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and had the best time. 5 people comfortably slept in our cabin which also happened to be my parents, my husband and myself and our daughter. In the main bedroom you'll find a queen bed and bunk-beds, nightstand, drawers, closet, dressing table area and a television. The second sleeping area is actually the living room. At night the couch pulls out to a nice size comfortable bed. There are also some drawers in this area to put clothes in and a pretty big flat screen television on the wall. The kitchen in all of the cabins have recently been updated and are very nice! There's a dining area as well that you can still access even when the couch was out into a bed which I found to be helpful for breakfast in the mornings.

I think the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are a great option for families. My husband, daughter and I took the bedroom while my parents slept on the pull out couch which they said was very comfortable. Because we are 3 people and have more stuff it was a nice arrangement purely to keep luggage and belongings out of the main living area. The back bedroom also has a separate entrance so if you are out late enjoying the parks at night, you can still get back to your room without bothering the people sleeping in the living room. While I can't link any pictures for you here, if you do a quick google search you are sure to see some pictures of the interior of the cabins. If you plan on spending some time at the resort, I highly suggest you rent a golf cart to zip around. It's a pretty big resort and who doesn't love driving a golf cart?

    I hope this helps!

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
