I am scheduled to have a knee replacement three weeks after our Sept. visit. I have a feeling I will be renting a wheelchair for at least part of our trip. If I do end up renting one would I be able to get a DAS card? This is our first visit to Disney World

    Hi Susan:

With the new Disability Access Service card, Guest Relations continues to work with Guests to accommodate their unique experiences.  Simply explain your needs to Guests Services.  Renting a wheelchair shouldn't impact whether or not you receive a DAS card, but the more information you can provide Guests services about your needs, the better they can work with you.

With the DAS card, you will receive a return time for attractions based on their current wait time.  Guests with the DAS card do not need to be present to get a return time for attractions, however, they must be present when returning to board the attraction.  There isn't a strict return time frame (unlike with FastPass+), so if you see that the line is too long when you return to ride, head to another attraction and return later.  The good news is that you can also use the DAS card in addition to FastPass+, which may provide you with additional support.

Enjoy your vacation and best of luck with your procedure.
