Three Generations Aboard Ship

We are scheduled to go on our first cruise in Nov. 2015 on the Disney Wonder! Our room is on Level 1. Is Level 1 far from the dining or activities on the ship? Will we feel like we really are on a lower or "lesser" level?

Welcome aboard, Nancy! The Disney Wonder is such an amazing ship, and no matter where your stateroom happens to be, you'll be in for such magic and excitement throughout your sailing! In fact, some of my family's favorite Cast Members are on the Disney Wonder, so I can assure you that you're in for royal treatment from the moment you set foot into the atrium lobby of the ship!

Deck One is a great place to be because it is very quiet! That will be a welcome treat after a long day of fun and activities throughout the ship and in the ports of call. You're never more than a quick trip up the steps or even faster elevator ride from all the best spaces on the ship. All of the staterooms on Deck One are in Midship or the middle part of Forward. This means, you're only steps away from the Midship or Forward elevators making it super easy to get wherever you'd like on the ship. You're only a quick two flights down from all the fun in the atrium lobby, Triton's restaurant, and Route 66, the nightclub area. If you have tweens, Edge, the tween club is one level above you on Deck Two.

Take three flights of steps up and you'll find yourself right in the center of the shopping and near the Walt Disney Theatre. You'll appreciate that after the nightly Broadway-style musicals get out, you can easily walk down a few flights of steps right to your stateroom without having to wait for an elevator with the rest of the crowds!

I think you'll find that you won't be spending all that much time in your stateroom anyway. With limitless possibilities of activities and events all day and night, there's not much reason to hang out in your room! But, one thing I really enjoy about the Disney Wonder and it's sister ship, the Disney Magic, is that they are the classic, smaller ships in Disney's fleet of four. I love the intimate feel and the ease of getting around the ships, no matter where our stateroom happens to be. I'm sure you'll find the same, Nancy!
