Just saw that WDW is having a special offer of discounted room rates during my trip. If I book now with that plan but free dining becomes available during my stay would I be able to switch my package to have free dining instead of discounted room rates?

Hi Melissa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to answer this question. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a guest come back looking for more advice! We really love what we do and are always so excited to help!

Since our family always is traveling on a tight budget, the only way that we travel to the Walt Disney World Resort is if we are able to take advantage of Special Offers. When we are able to save money on room/food, sometimes we can splurge on a special experience or maybe even an extra night.

When I have booked a special offer in the past, if a better offer has come along, I always call the reservation line and ask a cast member to see if the offer that I want is available. The special offers are not guaranteed and are based upon availability and any other criteria that is stipulated during the time of the special offer. So to answer your question, there is a chance that if free dining comes along that you may be able to take advantage of it. Your best bet is to book your room now, watch for additional special offers, and if you see one that you want; call as soon as you can!

I hope that you have a wonderful time! Thanks for visiting us again! We hope to see you real soon!
