Saw today’s announcement about policy changes re coolers. I understand reasons behind no dry ice but not loose ice. No freezers in resort rooms so how to use reusable packs? Is it ok if ice is in a bag. Or can I get ice once in the park? I only use a cup.

    Hi Connie!

There was a big announcement this week on the Disney Parks Blog regarding new and clarified Walt Disney World park rules and loose ice was one of the new ones.  Loose ice in coolers is no longer permitted into the parks "to help streamline the bag-check and entry processes", but coolers are still permitted.  Ice brought in sandwich bags or those type of sealable bags is still ok to pack in coolers or guests can ask for complimentary ice at any Quick-Service restaurant while you're in any of the theme parks.  Ice brought in cups or water bottles is still permitted.

Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions or need further clarification.

    Have a magical day!
