Disneyland Resort Halloween

We saw that there is a special event in October that requires a special ticket. Do you have to purchase a regular ticket in addition to the special ticket or can you just purchase the special event ticket and enter the park later in the day?

Hello, Sydney! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

October at the Disneyland Resort means it's Halloween Time and with that comes Mickey's Halloween Party on select nights which requires a separate ticket. If you plan to enjoy the parks earlier in the day, then you will also need a regular theme park ticket. If you only want to enjoy the party, then a Mickey's Halloween Party ticket is all you will need. With just the party ticket, however, you can enter both theme parks three hours prior to the official start time of the party. So, some folks like to spend the day swimming at their Disneyland Resort Hotel or shopping and dining in the Downtown Disney District and then they don't head into the parks until the evening. It's all depends on how you want to spend the day!

As you prepare for your October vacation, make sure to take a look at the costume guidelines for kids and adults. While you are welcome to dress up for Mickey's Halloween Party, there are a few rules of which to be aware. Another thing to keep in mind is that Disney FASTPASS Service is generally not available once the party has begun. If you plan to enter the parks early, you should be able to use FASTPASS during that three-hour window before the party starts.

If you have any other questions about Halloween Time or any other elements of your trip, please stop by again!
