I saw the new regulations state no loose ice allowed in the parks. We were planning on freezing water bottles and bringing those in our insulated backpack. Are those allowed?

Hey there, Laura! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's always such a pleasure when our friends come back to visit!

You have a really "cool" idea there, Laura! You're right that the new regulations enacted earlier this year include a ban on loose ice. Based on the guidance we've received, things like reusable ice packs and even ice in plastic zipper baggies are acceptable alternatives to loose ice. With that in mind, yes, you would be able to bring frozen water bottles into the Theme Parks in your backpack.

It looks like your Walt Disney World visit is just a few days away! This Florida girl can report that summer is pretty much already here in the Sunshine State, so you're definitely smart to think about dealing with the heat. The Disney Parks Blog put together some tips for keeping cool on a hot day in the Theme Parks, so check that out for some more great ideas to beat the Florida heat. I'm thinking a nice, frosty Dole Whip should certainly be on the agenda!

I hope you have a blast at Walt Disney World, Laura! Please come back and see us again real soon!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
