I saw you mention that your family has done Disney cruise/WDW vacations in tandem. Do you ever get tired of that much Disney at once? We're considering a cruise/WDW vacation and wondered if we should do a 3-4 night or 7-night plus 6 nights @WDW. Too much?

Definitely not too much Disney, Heather.  Here's the thing: a Disney Cruise Line vacation is so very different than a Walt Disney World vacation.  That's not to say that there aren't plenty of opportunities to get your Disney fix aboard the ships; there are characters to greet, movies to see, and live shows to watch.  All of which offer glimpses of or interactions with the Disney friends we know and love.  That said, there are also plenty of opportunities to experience completely non-Disney activities during a Disney cruise.  My husband and I take full advantage of the precious time we have to ourselves while our kids are having a blast in the kids programming aboard the ship.  We've done wine tasting, spa treatments and pool games for the 18 and over crowd.  As a family, we love to attend the pictionary, trivia games, and mask making activities.  On port days we step off the ship and set out for a full day of beachy fun or adventurous outings that give us the opportunity to swim with sting rays or soar on a zipline.  Truth be told though, come time to return to the ship, seeing Mickey on those iconic smokestacks is always a welcome sight.

For my family, a three or four night cruise wouldn't be long enough.  The seven night cruises offer just the right amount of time to truly relax and slip into vacation mode.  My advice to you would be to book the cruise as a follow-up to your Walt Disney World vacation.  After days of touring the parks, your feet will thank you for the opportunity to lounge on deck with an ice-cold drink in hand.

If all you needed was a little convincing to book your trip, Heather, consider yourself nudged!
