I saw where on Castaway Cay you can feed the stingrays, do i have to sign up for that or can anyone do that? If i have to sign up, is it worth it if i have a 7 and 5 year old?

    Hi Maureen -

Port Adventures on Castaway Cay includes the most fun activities that you and your family can enjoy together. The Stingray Adventure offers an opportunity for your family to learn about stingrays and experience them together. Your 5 and 7 year old kids are welcome to participate in this activity. If you think they enjoy fish and they are not squirmy, then they will surely enjoy this adventure.

You'll need to book and reserve this activity prior to your sail date. You can do this by logging into My Cruise Activities and choosing the Castaway Cay day of your voyage. Click on View or Add Activities and click on Port Adventures to choose the Stingray Adventure and schedule.

My kids really enjoyed this adventure and learned a lot about these sea friends. We experienced feeding the stingrays ourselves as they were quite friendly, swooping food right in between our fingers. You'll have a naturalist with you to answer any questions that you may have. It's quite an educational activity!

We snorkeled in the same lagoon with the stingrays afterwards -- not sure if your little ones will snorkel, but they are welcome to play in the shallow water with you, since the stingrays are friendly and they'll likely still come up to your feet and play.

There's lots of fun things to do on your day in Castaway Cay!

    Happy planning,
