What Savanna view should I request at Kidani, the sunset or pembe? We want to be on the "inside".

    Hi Allison!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family has stayed at Kidani Village many times as it is our Home Resort as Disney Vacation Club Members. We love the warm colors, quiet atmosphere, amazing pool area and multitude of cultural and educational activities for our children. The resort already offers all of that and we haven’t even gotten to the animals yet!

Both the Sunset and the Pembe Savannas offer a variety of birds and wildlife for Guests to view.  The Pembe Savanna is unique to Kidani Village and the highlight of this savanna is the Okapi, which you will not find on the Sunset Savanna. The Okapi resemble a zebra since it has stripes on its legs, but it is actually a distant relative of the giraffe! Also on the Pembe Savanna you will find Impala, several species of birds and the Red River Hog.

Since you are asking about being on the "inside” of the resort, I think you are probably looking for the Sunset Savanna. This is the view that is shared with portions of Jambo House, and you may find, among other animals, Reticulated Giraffe, Ostrich, Waterbuck, and Zebra.

Please keep in mind that while Cast Members will do their very best to meet your request, it can never be guaranteed. There are public viewing areas for both savannas located off the main lobby and near the pool area, so no matter where your room is located, you will have the opportunity to view the animals on both savannas. I hope this helps as you make your room request. Since it looks like you are within 60 days of your resort check-in, you can complete online check-in to submit your request, and be sure to make your FastPass+ selections as soon as possible!

Please let me know if I can help with any additional questions, especially if you have questions about Kidani Village.

I wish you "Bahati Nzuri", or "Good Luck" in Swahili!
