Hello Sandra! I was wondering what is the best way to plan a vacation to Disney? This is my first time going with my family. It would be my husband, me and our kiddos (ages 9,8,7). We would like to arrive on Jul 19 and depart Jul 23. Thanks!!

    Hi Christine,

I LOVE visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the summer months!  My parents started this "crazy" tradition back in 1987 and I've been visiting during the summer since then.  I'm so glad that you do have your dates in place.  Now you can play around with Disney hotel options!

First, I would suggest that you decide on a resort hotel.  Disney has three levels of resorts: Value, Moderate and Deluxe.  If you are vacationing on a budget then you must definitely look into the values.  If you want to "ball" with the Mouse then look at the Deluxe resorts.  There's definitely something for everyone.

Next, you should decide on how many tickets you should purchase in your Magic Your Way Vacation Package.  You can decide to visit the four theme parks and the two water parks.  I think the water parks would be so much fun since you will be there during the hot month of July.

I would definitely suggest one of the Disney Dining Plans.  If you would like to experience some of the Character Dining Experiences then you should pick one of the plans with Table Service Credits.  We always go with the basic Dining Plan - one Quick-Service meal, one Table-Service meal and one Snack.  This works great for us because we get to have at least one sit down meal per day.

I know this is a lot of information; however, if you have additional questions, please let me know.  I'm here to help!

    Have a magical day!!
