Hi April! When we travel with extended family and friends, we all agree that during the day, we are free to go off and enjoy the activities we'd like, but we plan to reconnect each night at dinner.

After dinner, or before, depending on your seating, keep the group together and head off to see one of Disney's amazing Broadway-style shows. Experiencing these together makes for such great memories that you can share for years! We also love the cabaret-style shows that take place almost every night in between the two dinner seatings. These are usually interactive shows where the audience gets involved. We've seen some amazing hypnotists, jugglers and comedians that do hysterical family-friendly shows that we are still talking about!

During the day, don't be afraid to wander off on your own. Our family brings different colored highlighters to mark our favorites on the Personal Navigator each night. Many times we find we'll be interested in the same thing, but other times we all want to do something different. And that's okay!

If you want to keep the group together for a big Port Adventure one day, I'd recommend looking at the Family Adventures, which would be perfect for your wide range of ages. Just be sure to check the minimum age, because though most are for everyone, a few do start at age five or six, and with your little one, you want to be sure he or she can join in the fun too.

My best tip is to befriend the Cast Members onboard. They know the ins and outs of the ship and can really make the trip even more magical for you. Don't be afraid to chat with the Cruise Staff. They are the ones in charge of all of the fun events and activities. You'll see them all over the ship and recognize them after the first day. They can give you tips on what not to miss and when or where to arrive for special events. Most of all, don't try to do it all. Just plan your must-do's the night before and go have fun, April!
