Hello - We are sailing out of Vancouver next month on a 7-day alaska cruise. What are the themed dinners? Ideas of how to prepare ahead of time for these? Would you provide link to where I can find information about the daily dinners and themes?

    Hi there, Rebecca!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, fellow Texan!  I am so excited to hEAR you are headed to Alaska next month!  What a great way to beat the summer heat in Texas; in fact, my family will be headed there in July to do the exact same thing!  If you haven’t yet, now is the time to make sure you have the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded to your smartphone.  You will find lots of useful information on it and it can now be used BEFORE and during your voyage!

On your seven-night Alaskan adventure, you can expect to have four cruise casual nights, one formal night, one semi-formal night and one Frozen-themed night complete with an evening deck party!  On these nights, you will see a variety of dress, so I always recommend bringing what you are comfortable in and what works for your family!  It’s always a struggle to get my boys into super formal wear so we will usually just opt for more of a “Sunday best” approach on Formal Night.  But you will see Guests dressed in varying levels of attire from cruise casual to their fanciest clothes!  But, one thing is for sure…don’t stress over attire for dinner!  But be advised that the dining rooms can be a little chilly, so I always recommend bringing a sweater or lightweight jacket with you to the dining rooms.

Disney Cruise Line’s rotational dining system is one of my favorite things about sailing with Captain Mickey!  This allows Guests the opportunity to experience all three unique restaurants onboard, along with each restaurant’s unique menu.  And, my most favorite part of this is that your incredible dining room servers will rotate with you!  It's always nice to see friendly faces and they will be more than eager to ensure you have the best dining experience each and every night.  On a seven-night voyage you will get to visit all restaurants twice and one restaurant for a third night.

Hopefully this helps guide you in preparing for each night.  If you have any other questions about your upcoming adventure, please come back!

    Happy Sailing!
    Stephanie
