    Lourdes from CO Asked

We are sailing on a second Disney cruise soon and I would like to know if we stop at a port that the kids don't want to get off, but adults do. Can the kids stay in the kids club and would they provide lunch to them?

    Ahoy, Lourdes!

Great to hear that you, too, are one of the very many cruisers who just enjoy sailing with Captain Mickey. I'm sure your crew is looking forward to spending more magical moments out on the high seas. There's nothing quite like the combination of world class activities, amenities & service that Disney Cruise delivers. It just never gets old!

The Disney Cruise has wonderful itineraries and they always keep coming up with great additions and updates to the magical fleet's voyages around the world. Sometimes, there are ports where the adults may want to spend some time on their own. With this in mind, Disney makes it a point that both adults and children have a great time - whether they're on land or at sea. You'll be glad to hear that you are indeed able to leave your children at the Youth Clubs while you venture out and explore the port city you are visiting. The youth counselors are well trained and keep your little cruisers very engaged and active throughout the day. If they are in the Oceaneer Club/Lab, there will be lots of adventures to keep them busy. They'll also be fed meals and snacks throughout the day.

My husband and I have explored ports on our own in the past, and have felt very comfortable leaving the kids on board at the clubs. In fact, when we see them at dinner time - we hear all about their fun day with their new friends. We've had hilarious stories, of course. My son was a big napper in the afternoons when he was little (maybe due to the time difference from California), so he was even allowed to nap whenever he feels the need to. He wakes up refreshed and ready to go again... just in time when we come back on board. You might actually find it a bit challenging to peel them off of the clubs - they seem to never want to go home.

It's just way too much fun in the Youth Clubs!
