Sailing from Port of New York with extended family. 3 staterooms & linked on the reservations, but my port arrival time is 1:30 and they have 3:00. All traveling together by a limo service that morning. Can we all get on board at the 1:30?

    Ahoy, Sharon!

It's November!!! This means your magical voyage is almost here and you'll be waving bon voyage to the Big Apple in just a few days. And it sounds like you've got a large crew ready to embark this incredible week long adventure with Captain Mickey.

I know everyone is very excited to get this vacation underway, so I understand wanting to know more about how it will work with different port arrival times. Usually, boarding begins between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. with Concierge Level Guests, Platinum Guests and any Guests holding a Group One boarding number. When you check-in at the cruise terminal, you'll be given a boarding number that coordinates with the port arrival time you selected during the online check-in process. The Guests with earlier port arrival times will be given lower boarding numbers, but the good news I have for you is that the boarding group numbers are usually called fairly quickly once they begin embarkation. Often times, you'll find 1:30 p.m. to be a great time to board. My reasoning is that the initial rush is over, and the terminal isn't nearly as crowded, so I don't think your crew should have any problem boarding together. There are typically two photo opportunities offered before you hit the gangway, so I'm sure you'll want to take advantage of having someone else take your family's photo before you board so everyone's excited faces can be included!

Sharon, staterooms are ready at 1:30 p.m. so once your family boards, you'll be able to drop off any carry-on luggage right away. Your checked luggage will be delivered throughout the day so be sure to keep anything you might need the first few hours with you in your carry-on luggage.

I hope your family has a vacation of a lifetime next week on the Disney Magic!

    Bon Voyage!
