We are sailing out of Port Canaveral and will be parking our rental car at the port. Will Disney handle taking our luggage directly to our airline on Debarkation Day if we are not using a DCL transfer service?

Welcome aboard, Robert! Most of the time, my family and I fly into Orlando International Airport for our Disney Cruises out of Port Canaveral and enjoy the convenience of Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transfers. Honestly, they are worth every penny for making it so stress-free, seamless, and easy to transition from land to sea and back again, so I highly recommend booking the transfers.

However, if you do rent a car and park at Port Canaveral, it is pretty easy to simply park, and walk right into the cruise terminal before you sail. Afterwards, leaving is even easier! You simply walk across the street and right into your car at the garage. The one time we parked there was super convenient. However, Disney can only offer Onboard Airline Check-In for those guests taking Disney's Ground Transfers back to the airport after the cruise. That being said, it's super easy to grab your bags in the cruise terminal as you debark and head across the cross-walk to the garage. I know it's an extra step, but since you'll get to drive yourself to the airport without having to wait on other guests, it is fairly convenient enough to bring your luggage along.

So, whichever way you choose, I wish you a magical cruise and an easy transition back to life on land after the magic of sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew, Robert!
