    Cindy from NY Asked

Sailing Oct 29th. When we dock for the DisneyWorld excursion in Fl, how long will it take to get off the ship/go through customs? Any ideas when buses start to leave from the ship and how frequently they will run? Thanks!!

    Ahoy, Cindy!
I'm so excited you are taking advantage of having the Disney Magic in New York this fall! My family enjoyed this particular cruise a few years ago and sailing in and out of New York City was just spectacular! If you aren't too tired on disembarkation morning, I definitely recommend getting up when the ship cruises back into the port to experience the picturesque skyline with the sunrise in the background! It was one of my most favorite moments of our NYC cruise! Another highlight of this sailing was visiting the Walt Disney World Resort when the ship docked in Port Canaveral! On our particular cruise, "All Ashore" was at 6:30 a.m. with "All Aboard" at midnight. We got off around 7:30 a.m. and passed through US Customs in about 10 minutes or so. Times will vary depending on what time you choose to depart, but I think you can plan on 15-20 minutes at the most. After you are cleared to leave the terminal, you'll find an ample amount of motor coach buses lined up to whisk your family off to the theme park of your choice. They will be clearly labeled and will run most of day. When you are ready to return back to the ship, you'll look for the Disney Cruise Line signs where the Walt Disney World Resort buses are parked outside each park.
I remember the Cruise Director going over specific details in the Walt Disney Theatre the night before we arrived and receiving a paper in our stateroom with the information, so you'll be well prepared when you head ashore!
Thank you for stopping by with these great questions, Cindy! If we can assist you further, please write back!
    Have a magical day!
