Colorful Ship at Night

Sailing in November 2019, turning Platinum. Some friends booked an Alaska 2020 cruise. If I book the Alaska 2020 cruise today are my rates locked in or will I have to pay the November rate of the Alaska cruise when we sail and book on ship for discount.

Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, John!

I like your sailing style!  My husband jokes that I cannot just plan one vacation, I have to plan the next vacation before we ever get on the airplane for the first.  With so many great itineraries, it is so hard to pick just one!  Multiple countdowns are the best!

Congratulations on your upcoming platinum Castaway Club status and all of the new perks that come with it!  This is an accomplishment for every Disney Cruise Line enthusiast.  Between achieving platinum status and your adventure to Alaska next year, you certainly have an exciting year ahead of you.

If you book your Alaskan adventure today and then decide to move it to a place holder for the onboard discount when you sail in November, the place holder discount is based on the current prevailing rate in November when the reservation is booked onboard.  So, if you book today and then change the reservation over to a place holder later, and the price of the cruise has gone up, the place holder discount is based on the "higher rate."

Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions as you plan all of your upcoming adventures!
