Hi there- We are sailing on the 5-night Western Caribbean cruise from Miami on April 11. Is there a way to find out our dining rotation and/or the schedule of the evening shows so we have more information to plan when to book infant childcare and Palo?

    Ahoy, Rebecca!

It sounds like you'll be enjoying some "Magic" from Miami when you cast off for the Caribbean in April! SO fun! The Disney Magic was the ship my crew experienced when we first set sail with Disney Cruise Line, so it holds a very special place in our hearts. I'm sure you'll find your five nights on this beauty to be quite magical.

As a planner myself, Rebecca, I completely understand wanting to know your nightly schedule before you reserve dinner in Palo. Unfortunately, scheduling of the nightly shows is always subject to change, and dining rotations are not revealed until you check-in at the cruise terminal. But, I've sailed on a few five-night voyages on the Disney Magic and have a few tips that I can share that I hope will help with your plans. First, there will be three Broadway-style shows that you'll be wowed by in the Walt Disney Theatre. Each night two performances are scheduled (6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.), and you are welcome to attend either one the night you dine in Palo. The shows typically last around an hour or so, and you can plan around two hours for your adult-only dining experience. The three shows currently on the Disney Magic are Twice Charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story, Tangled: The Musical, and Disney Dreams-An Enchanted Classic. Typically, the Guest Entertainer performs on Pirate Night, and the other night could be a first-run movie or possibly "Let the Magic Begin" on the first night of the voyage. Once you receive your first cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator, you can check the schedule.

As for your dining rotation, you can call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to request one of the three options. A Cruise Reservation Agent will be able to discuss what is available for your cruise and note your preference on your reservation. These requests cannot be guaranteed, but I know Disney Cruise Line will do their best to honor what you've selected. You can expect one optional dress-up night, three cruise casual nights, and one Pirate-themed night on your sailing.

My final tip is that Palo does hold back some reservations for embarkation day. Instructions for making or changing a reservation will be listed on the front of your Personal Navigator. I also know you can make or add-on to your "it's a small world " nursery! times once onboard.

I hope this information is helpful, Rebecca! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
