We will be sailing Feb 25 2017 on a 7 night cruise. On formal night would my husband need a suit jacket or could just wear dress pants , button up shirt with tie?

Welcome aboard, Jackie! I live just north of you, in Ohio, so I know how excited you will be when the cold February weather rolls around in Kentucky, to be able to escape south for warmer weather on a magical Disney Cruise Line vacation! My family and I sailed this past February, and it was such a warm and wonderful cruise!

Disney Cruise Line's dining attire for the seven-night sailings includes five Cruise Casual nights (one of which is the popular Pirate Night), one Semi-Formal night (usually the final sea day without ports) and one Formal night (usually the first sea day). On both Formal and Semi-Formal nights, you will see a wide variety of dress among the guests. Some guests will go all out with tuxedos, while others will simply wear a dress shirt, dress pants, and tie, with some in between wearing a suit or just a blazer with khakis. Wherever your husband feels most comfortable on that spectrum, he will fit in just fine!

If you plan on dining at one of the adult exclusive restaurants onboard, be sure to check their dress codes, as they have different, more formal dress codes than the Rotational Dining Table Service restaurants. We love dining at both Palo and Remy. If have a dinner planned at Remy, your husband will need a blazer for sure. I highly recommend both of these spots, either for brunch or dinner. Though they do carry an additional cost, they are worth every penny for the ambience and top notch food!

    Happy planning, Jackie!
