Sailing on the Dream 2/6/11. We are not planning an excursion for Nasau. Is there stuff to do if you get off the boat without a booked excursion. We have a 4 and 2 yr old with us. What is it like if you stay on board during an excursion what's it like?

    Hi, Greg!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the new Disney Dream -- she is a beauty, and you are going to be delighted and amazed at how your family is entertained and pampered!

With young children, I highly recommend booking a shore excursion/port adventure through Disney -- instead of trying to see Nassau on your own. You will have the confidence of knowing that the excursion is carefully planned according to the ship's schedule, and you'll be treated with similar service that you'll come to expect with Disney Cruise Line.

If you decide not to book a shore excursion, I recommend staying on board the ship during the stop over in Nassau. There is so much to see and do aboard the ship, and of course, many guests will leave the ship to enjoy the day in Nassau or at the nearby Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. You'll have the opportunity to eat in restaurants without much of a line and enjoy spa services or pool areas without the crowds.

I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
