I will be sailing on the Disney Fantasy when my 60-day window opens up for booking FPs for my May WDW trip. Any chance I can access MDE for free while on board a DCL ship? I don't want to pay for Internet access to book my FPs!

    Hi there, Amy -

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and logging in a question. How exciting to hear that you'll be sailing with Captain Mickey very soon... and after 2 short months, you'll be coming back for more magic at Walt Disney World!

On embarkation day, guests who log onto Disney Cruise Line's Connect@Sea will usually have a special offer of 50mb of free data per stateroom. We've used this a couple of times last year when we sailed. Please note that this offer is subject to change at anytime. 50mb is not very much though - we are usually able to post a few pictures and send some messages to family and friends. But accessing the My Disney Experience site will require a bit more time and data, especially if you are choosing FastPass+ selections for multiple parks. You can certainly try and log-in and do as much as you can, but be warned that internet service while onboard won't be as fast as what you might be used to, while on land. Download speeds are significantly slower, though I'm crossing my fingers that continuous upgrades to the system will allow for faster speeds in the future (or maybe bigger pockets of free data to use).

Just in case you are not able to log in and make your FastPass+ selections while on board, I hope that you still get your choice of attractions once you log in when you are back on land. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too.

    Bon voyage, Amy!
