We are sailing on the Disney Dream in November. First time for my teens on a cruise or out of the country for that matter. I want them to see where we are, not just hang out on a beach. What is the best for Nassau?

    Ahoy, Beverly!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your November voyage aboard the Disney Dream will be here before you know it! I think you've chosen such a magical way for your teens to first experience exploring different countries. They will have the opportunity to submerse themselves in Bahamian culture while being surrounded by the magic of Disney onboard!

In my opinion, the best Port Adventure to highlight the history of the Bahamas is Nassau Forts and Junkanoo Discovery. During this excursion, your family will learn about Nassau's yearly National Cultural Festival at the Junkanoo exhibit. After visiting the exhibit, you will be driven past historic landmarks to Fort Charlotte. I love this excursion because you really learn more about the history of Nassau and its people.

When the Disney Dream docks at Nassau you will have a short walk down the pier and immediately be surrounded by the island's culture! You and your kids can taste local flavors as well as purchase souvenirs hand-crafted by local island merchants.

I'm so excited for your kids' first Disney Cruise! They will meet so many other teenagers from around the world while onboard and make memories that will last a lifetime!
