I am running the 2017 WDW Marathon. I was wondering what types of drinks and snacks they had along the route so I can incorporate them into my training runs before the real deal. Thanks!

    Hi Brenna!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Nutrition and hydration is key to a successful marathon.  The Walt Disney World Marathon takes that to heart when it's being planned.  While details are still being finalized for the 2017 race, below is the information from the 2016 event.

A total of 19 DASANI® water and POWERADE® stops will be located along the course. All stops offer water and POWERADE®. There will be five food stops located along the course. Chiquita bananas will be available at Mile 11.4 and Mile 18.3. Clif Bar products will
be distributed at Mile 15.4 and Mile 19.4. Sponges will be provided at Mile 17.1, and candy will be available at Mile 22.5.

As you can see, there will be plenty of provisions.  There will also be groups of fans with other treats along the course if you are inclined to grab some. (I usually do.  I look forward to the group with Twizzlers every year!) But, it's also a good idea to carry any of your favorite snacks that you know you will need.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
