I am running the Haunted 5K Family Fun race on Sept 29. Do I have to run a maximum of 16 minutes per mile for this race also?

Hi Patricia!  That 5K is going to be really fun!  I plan to run with my family too.

There is a 16 minute/mile pace time limit on the 5K's.  But, keep in mind that they will start the time limit after the last person crosses the starting line.  The last group to go will be the stroller division.  So, unless you are in that division, you will automatically have several minutes head-start on the pace.  If you do plan to be in the stroller division and are worried about the pace, just position yourself at the front of that group.

A 16-minute/mile pace is a brisk walk.  You may want to train at a 15-minute/mile pace just to gain confidence in yourself!  I know you can do it!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!  Good luck with your training and see you there!
