We are running our 1st half marathon February 2015. 2 mom's and 2 teen daughters from CA. Any Suggestions for 5 day park hopper itinerary to make the most of race and see theme parks? Do you recommend pasta party or race breakfast?

    Hi, Juli!

I hope you are looking forward to your first half marathon - how fun you have plans to make this a girls' trip to Walt Disney World® Resort! Here are a few suggestions to make the most of your visit.

    Theme Parks:
Utilize Morning Extra Magic Hours. This will serve as a magical way to acclimate to the time change and maximize your time in the parks.

The day before: Visit Disney's Hollywood Studios - it opens at 8:00am and you'll do the least amount of walking here. Then, head to Epcot via the Friendship Ferry to enjoy the Pasta in the Park Party - I recommend this experience over the Race Retreat, it's a better value and truly a unique experience.

Visit Magic Kingdom on race day! You'll want those Memory Maker photos in front of Cinderella Castle with your medals on. And with the FastPass+ Service, you can pre-book your most desired attractions.

Post-race: Combine Disney's Animal Kingdom (closes at 5:00pm) with any of the parks you would like to visit again that evening. Also, combine Magic Kingdom and Epcot one day to add a Monorail ride to your experience.

Catch race transportation early! The Start Zone Area will be teeming with runners, concessions and a DJ getting you pumped to run 13.1 magical miles.

Don't stop for photos until Magic Kingdom. It will really be too dark for good shots until then.

Attend the Happily Ever After Party in Downtown Disney to cap off a great race.

I hope this is helpful, Juli! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
