Hello! Running in my first Disney 1/2 marathon in Feb! Staying @ POR, will there be bus trans to the race & expo & can my family come along? (husband & 3 kids) And where is the best place for them to watch during the run? Thank you!

    Hi Michelle!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Yes, there will be complimentary runDisney bus transportation to and from your resort to the Health & Fitness Expo and all race events.  The buses are for runners and spectators.  It's a great reason to choose to stay on property during your race!

You can find spectator viewing information on the Princess Half Marathon website, under the SPECTATOR tab.  My favorite viewing spot is inside Magic Kingdom Park.  Here are some details about that viewing area (keep in mind that they can take a bus from the resort to the Epcot parking lot where the race start/finish are is located):

Spectators will be able to see their runner run through the Magic Kingdom® Park near Cinderella Castle (Mile 5.3). This location will be open at 5:30 a.m. You do not need a ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom® Park, but to enter the ChEAR Zone area, you will need a ChEAR Zone wristband.

To reach the Magic Kingdom® Park spectator area from Epcot®, walk from the start of the monorail station at Epcot® and ride it to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Exit the monorail, walk down the ramp and follow the overhead signs for the monorail to Magic Kingdom® Park. Ride the monorail to Magic Kingdom® Park and exit the platform heading towards the Magic Kingdom® Park entrance. Proceed through the entrance and Main Street U.S.A. toward Cinderella Castle, where you will find the spectator area.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
