    What is runDisney?

    Hi, Ian!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! runDisney is the division of Disney Parks that organizes and hosts running events at both Walt Disney World Resort® and Disneyland Resort®. You can find races ranging from a 5k to a full marathon to Kids' Races. There are even races that include special medals for completing a multiple race challenge, or for running a race at both US Disney Parks locations.

In addition to the ability to participate in a variety of race distances, most races offer the opportunity of being able to run through the theme parks-- making a runDisney race truly magical. And with eight differently themed race weekends currently on the calendar, you're sure to find the perfect event for you and your family.

Another great feature of the runDisney race series is their desire to see every runner succeed. Not only will you find complementary training plans by the official runDisney Training Consultant, Jeff Galloway, but also nutritional information from the official nutritionist, Tara Gidus -- both important aspects of training for a race. Additionally, you can find great tips and information on the runDisney Blog, check it out by selecting the highlighted link.

I hope this information helps give you an idea of the magical world of runDisney, Ian! Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have regarding the runDisney series of races. And don't forget to check out the runDisney website for a complete listing of race events

    Have a magical day!
