Hi! We have 7am rservations at Chef Mickey's. We'd like to drive over to Epcot as soon as possible because it opens at 8am. How long does breakfast usually take? Thanks!

    Kristin,

Because it is a buffet, technically it takes only as long as you want it to.

Realistically, however, I would budget at least 45 minutes to an hour for the meal. It takes a good 10 minutes just to get seated and settled in. Just as important as the food, the character experiences seem to take about 30 minutes. By that, I mean that you probably need to be there at least 30 minutes for all of the characters to make their rounds to the tables. Sometimes it can be more, rarely is it less.

My bottom line is this. If you were hoping to make the rope drop at Epcot, I would tell you that you were probably not going to make it. Certainly not without compromising on the fun of the dining experience at Chef Mickey's. But to be there by 8:30 am should be very doable. My opinion is that staying for the fun of the meal outweighs being right at the rope drop at Epcot.

    I hope that this helps?

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
