do the rollercoaster rides have cubbies/lockers so i can put my bag in while we are on the rides?

Hi, Gloria! Speaking from a man-purse perspective, each roller coaster usually has a netted-style pouch in front of you where you can wedge your belongings. Sometimes I wrap my man-purse's straps around a leg several times and stow it underneath/behind my legs. I usually hold on to my hat in my hands.

The general rule of thumb is that whatever you enter the attraction's queue with, you should plan on bringing it with you on board the coaster. If your backpack doesn't have too much heft to it, you may be able to keep it on your back and sandwich it between you and the seat. Or, you could also turn the backpack around, carry it koala-style on your front and rest it on top of the lap restraint. This wouldn't work on rides that have a shoulder harness though.
