What rides (or tight hallway style lines) to avoid in Epcot/Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom for people with claustrophobia?

    Hi Deborah!

The Walt Disney World Resort is such a magical place to have an adventure, but sometimes, the attraction queues can get a bit overwhelming for some Guests.  I am no fan of tight spaces, so I completely understand wanting to make sure to avoid those places that may be uncomfortable!

Luckily, most of the attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort have fairly spacious queues, and those that do include tighter spaces are still mostly open.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to talk to any Cast Member before entering the attraction queue.  They will be able to help you make the best decision for you!  That being said, a few attractions come to mind when I think of those lines that have made me feel a bit uneasy in the past!

In Magic Kingdom Park, Space Mountain is the main attraction that comes to mind because of the long small corridor that holds the majority of the attraction queue.  The Astro Orbiter queue includes a short elevator ride.  Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has a short narrow corridor at the end of the queue.  Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin has a short smaller hallway in the beginning of the queue.  Haunted Mansion includes a small room as part of the pre-attraction queue.  Peter Pan's Flight has hallways throughout the attraction queue.  Lastly, the Pirates of the Caribbean queue consists mostly of corridors, but they are still fairly spacious.

In Epcot, I would avoid Mission: SPACE because the attraction itself is very enclosed, but the majority of the ride queues throughout the park are pretty wide open.  The only attraction queue in Disney's Animal Kingdom that has a few tighter spaces is the one for Avatar Flight of Passage, but the attraction is so phenomenal, I would definitely still try to ride!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
