Hi Mary,
I'm really excited to hear that you're planning a visit to Magic Kingdom Park! While I love all four theme parks, Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite. Perhaps it's because it's just so quintessentially "Disney," but it's a place where
everyone can be a kid again and classic Disney stories come to life!
As for how many attractions and shows you could plan on experiencing in one day, I'd say that it depends on the type of traveler you are. I'm not normally a morning person, but if it's a Disney day, I'm up and at 'em bright and early to make sure I squeeze every ounce of magic and fun out of my day. If you're the same, I'd encourage you to arrive 45 - 60 minutes before the theme park opens so that you have plenty of time to go through security and ticketing before exploring Main Street U.S.A. and kicking off your day with the Let the Magic Begin welcome show. As soon as that show ends, you'll be able to begin exploring the other five lands. Some Guests explore leisurely, stopping for lots of character visits, snacks, and shopping. Some Guests do everything they can to experience as many attractions as possible in one day. Some even attempt to experience every single attraction in one day, but I can tell you that this will require a lot of planning and a bit of pixie dust! An average visitor likely experiences between 12 - 15 attractions and shows in one day. I'd encourage you to do whatever feels most magical to you!
One tip that will help you experience more attractions without waiting: Did you know that once you've enjoyed your initial three
FastPass+ selections, you may use the My Disney Experience app or an in-park kiosk to make additional selections, one at a time, until the park closes?
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
