Are there any rides that would be difficult for plus size people to go on?

    Hi Gwen,

I am happy to say that the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks are designed for everyone, with a great deal of accommodation for guests of all sizes. That said, there are a couple of attractions which can be somewhat tricky for some guests.

At Magic Kingdom, there are a couple attractions which accommodate larger sized guests but can be difficult for guests with restricted mobility. This includes Space Mountain, where guests have to lower themselves into a low seated position in their rip-roaring rocket vehicle before take-off, as well as Splash Mountain, where guests have to step inside and maneuver themselves into a seated position in their log which will then take them on a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah adventure! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, while generally accommodating, can be a bit uncomfortable for some guests as the seats are fairly narrow and restrictive.

At Epcot, Test Track is very accommodating of larger guests, although once again guests with mobility issues may have difficulty lowering themselves into a seated position before heading out to put their newly designed prototype vehicle to the test!

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith offers plenty of room for guests with individualized over-the-shoulder harness bars. However, guests with mobility issues may have slight difficulty stepping into their super-stretch limos before racing through L.A. to make it to the concert!

Finally, over at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the brand-new Avatar Flight of Passage allows guests to hitch a ride on a mountain banshee for a breathtaking flight over Pandora. While some larger and taller guests have had difficulty with the required leg and back restraints, a test seat is located outside the attraction for guests to try in advance.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation, Gwen!
