What rides or attractions would you recommend for a 1 yr old boy if he can even ride at all? We have a party of 5 including him. would I have to let my family ride one and then give him to dad so I can go ride? How does that work?

Hi, Monica, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What an exciting adventure you have planned for your family. Let's make sure everyone has a great time on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation - including your youngest Mouseketeer!

Monica, I think you'll be surprised at just how much there is to do with little ones at Walt Disney World. The best place for you to start planning is with the list of Walt Disney World attractions, particularly the ones marked for "Any Height." These are all the rides, shows, and other attractions that are perfect for kids of all ages, from 1 to 101. Some of my son's favorites when he was just a tiny tot were The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros, and - believe it or not - the Mad Tea Party! He's always loved those teacups, and even the littlest ones can enjoy it if you don't spin the wheel.

But just because you have a little guy, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the more thrilling rides! You can take advantage of Disney's Rider Switch Service on select attractions. Rider Switch allows one adult to ride while the other waits with the non-riding child. Afterward, the other adult can ride without having to wait in the standby line. You'll find complete instructions for using Rider Switch on the Walt Disney World website. It's easy and convenient, and everyone gets a chance to ride!

Monica, while you're in the Theme Parks, be sure to check out the Baby Care Centers. There's one in each Park, and they're such a big help for parents of little ones. You'll find changing tables, rocking chairs, high chairs, and a quiet space for nursing mothers. It's a nice place to take a breather and cool off before heading out for more fun in the Theme Parks!

I hope this helps you plan a magical vacation for your family, Monica. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
