Are the rides accommodating to the plus size population?

Hi, Miranda!  I have always been, umm, shall we say "Pooh" sized, and I've never had any difficulty with the attractions at Walt Disney World.  At my high end, I was closing in on 350 pounds, and never felt like I wasn't going to fit.  Many of the attractions have bars that pull down to a point where you are comfortable, and most of the other attractions have adjustable restraints.

I will admit that at my highest weight, there were a few theater seats that I had to do the old sit on the edge and slide in technique.  But once I put that maneuver in place, I was comfortably seated for the duration.

If you have any concerns at all, before you get into an attraction line, you can ask the Cast Member about the type of seating.  On some things, such as Big Thunder Mountain, I recommend asking for your own seat, so even if you are a party of two, tell them you are a party of one.  They won't  make you sit with someone else, and you'll have the extra room to be comfortable.

You'll see plenty of us big girls down at Walt Disney World.  Welcome home, and be comfortable!

    Have a great time planning!
