Which rides can accommodate an EVC ?

    Hi Sue ~

That is an excellent question and it is always a great idea to plan ahead. The Walt Disney World Resort offers many services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. Some attractions allow Guests with Mobility Disabilities to remain in their wheelchairs or ECVs, some require Guests in ECVs to transfer to wheelchairs to board, and other attractions require Guests to be mobile to board. You can find a complete list on the link I've provided above.

For those attractions that require Guests to be mobile, Guests who are able to transfer but need physical assistance will have to have someone in their party assist them. Cast Members are not allowed to physically lift Guests. They will be happy to move the wheelchair or ECV once Guests have boarded the attraction and will have it waiting for them afterwards.

As you enter each theme park, pick up a Guide for Guests with Disabilities. You can also download the Guide for Guests with Disabilities online. Beside each attraction, it will note which attractions Guests may remain in their ECV to experience. There is a legend on that page indicating the meaning of each symbol.

Most of the queues are now able to accommodate Guests in ECVs. For those few that do not, a Cast Member will direct you to an alternate entrance.

Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
