For rider swap, party of 4, 2 adults, 1 infant, 1 service dog. Do both the adults need a fast pass to get on the ride if using fast pass+, if so can we still get a rider swap and use it again within a week, for that ride?

Hello there, Mary! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We’re so happy you stopped by to ask us your question!

Mary, as a mom of two that have a wide age gap, my husband, son, and I love taking turns on our favorite attractions that my littlest is not yet tall enough, or ready, to enjoy. Being able to use Disney’s Rider Switch service makes this easy and possible during our visits. And bonus, my son absolutely loves that he gets to enjoy his favorite attractions twice with Rider Switch.

The way I plan for Rider Switch is by pairing up my FastPass+ with the attractions I plan on using Rider Switch at. This saves us valuable park time, so we can enjoy even more of the magic. Since you will be taking turns, you can absolutely book just one FP+ for the adult that will be riding first, then using your Rider Switch paper FastPass+ for the rest of the guests in your party (up to three) that wish to enjoy the attraction later. The paper FP+ have an expiration date, but they are usually good through the end of the month when you receive them. So, if you are visiting earlier in the month, you’ll be fine. But if your visit lands later in the month, you might have to use that paper FP+ sooner than later.

I hope this information was helpful! If you have any additional questions, please do bring them our way! It’s our pleasure to assist you as you dream up and plan your magical adventure to the Walt Disney World Resort.

    See ya real soon,
