Can you ride the monorail loop from DTD without using a park ticket? We would not get out at the Disneyland stop, just ride back to DTD. Our park tickets start on our first full day and we'd like to take the ride the evening before.

    Hi, Karen!

Wow, your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner! You're going to have an amazing time exploring all the magic the theme parks have to offer this time of year.

Since the monorail line makes a stop inside Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park, you must present a valid theme park ticket prior to entering the boarding area at the Downtown Disney District Monorail Station. Tickets are checked prior to initial boarding rather than upon exiting the monorail in Tomorrowland, so unless you plan to begin using your theme park tickets on your arrival day, it's best to wait until the next day to take your monorail ride.

I hope this helps, Karen. Please ask me any other planning questions you have. I hope you have a perfectly pixie-dusted Disneyland Resort vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
