Can i ride the monorail or disney transportation or tour disney resorta if i am not staying at a disney world resort? How much would that cost me?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Adriana ~

That is a great question. I sometimes stay off property with family but a ride on the monorail is always a must do every visit for our family. In fact, my dream was to be a monorail pilot the first time I visited the Walt Disney World Resort in 1971 and I often pretended to be one after our trips.

There are some great transportation options available at the Walt Disney World Resort. All Guests, whether you are staying on property at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or off property as a day Guest, are welcome to take full advantage of the complimentary transportation options. That means that you can ride the monorails, buses, and boats for free. Yay!

There is an exception to the transportation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Only Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel are able to take advantage of Disney's Magical Express which takes Guests to and from the Orlando International Airport.

You are also welcome to visit the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Only hotel Guests are allowed to swim in the pools at the hotels where they are staying, but you are welcome to visit the resorts. Many resorts offer great dining locations. We especially love visiting resorts during Christmas to see all of the holiday displays. The Gingerbread House at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is amazing!

Please feel free to visit again with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
