When returning to the airport - can I check in for my flight and have magical express deliver my luggage, but take a cab to the airport instead of the bus? I will be in a park that day and I didn't want to spend the time coming back to the hotel

Hi, Amanda! I completely understand you wanting to spend as much time as possible at one of the parks, instead of rushing to get back to reality. Sitting on a bus ... flying on a Magic Carpet ....sitting on a bus ... chasing down a Yeti. There really is no choice that needs to be made here!

So now that we have covered what a great idea you have, let's talk details. You can absolutely check in for your flight with the Resort Airline Service and then use alternate transportation to get to the Orlando International Airport (MCO). You will be able to check your luggage, pay any applicable luggage fees and have your boarding passes printed at the service desk at your Resort. You are then free to eat turkey legs and Dole Whips until it is time to head to the airport. There are taxi stands at each theme park, but note that if you go to Magic Kingdom, you will need to head over to the Transportation and Ticket Center or one of the monorail area Resorts to have the valet parking Cast Members hail a cab for you. Try to time it so you will be in the cab at least two hours in advance of your flight.

Your question seriously brought back such wonderful "last day" memories of a trip I took this past December with all of the new Disney Parks Moms Panelists. Disney's Magical Express was set to pick me up from our Resort at 10:00 a.m., but many of my new friends were headed to Magic Kingdom for more last-minute rides before their much later flights home. I made the wise decision to check everything at the Resort Airline Service and take one more spin on the teacups. What a magical morning we all had, well worth the $70 cab fare to MCO, if you ask me. When it was time, the Cast Member at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa valet parking stand hailed a cab for me in less than five minutes, sending me quickly back to the oh-so unmagical real world.

I hope you have a wonderful, never-ending vacation, Amanda.
