My retired parents are visiting WDW in february. they are considering wilderness lodge. i was wondering if you had any suggestions on where they might request their room to be located. maybe away from the lobby area?

    Angela:

I have found that when I let Disney know what I'm looking for in a room--quiet, near the bus stop, away from the elevator, etc.--they do a much better job of finding me a room than if I had given them a room number, building, etc.....

If I were in their shoes, I would book a wood's view, which is cheaper than other rooms like the water view which also happens to bring noise AND make put a request on the reservation for a "quiet" room.  In addition, remind the cast member at check-in of the request also, as Disney will try to accommodate any request, but can't always guarantee it.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
