Family dining outside

Restaurants in the park have the letters "DDP" next to the items that are allowed on the dining plan, but if you want to order from the mobile app, there's no indication of what is on the dining plan. How do you know what to order?

Hi, Brian!  Ever since Mobile Ordering rolled out at Walt Disney World Resort in 2017, the feedback from Guests has been overwhelmingly positive, but at first, those who were on the Disney Dining Plan were in a bit of a pickle since the only payment option was via credit card.  Disney listened and responded last yEAR when they added all three Disney Dining Plans, so now it's even easier to pre-order and pre-pay for your food.   If you have purchased a Disney Dining Plan and linked it to your reservation, it will automatically appear in your My Disney Experience app as a payment option during your ordering process.  When you select the restaurant you'd like to order from, look for the blue link that says, "Meal Plans Accepted."  The app is getting a new enhanced look soon, so feel free to browse through it before your trip (just be sure you don’t hit purchase at the end)!

My son and I used Mobile Ordering last yEAR when we ordered some delicious Na'vi inspired food from Satu'li Canteen.  We received our Cheeseburger Steamed Pods and Pandoran Sunrises in a jiffy without even having to wait in line, which allowed us to make it across the park to Expedition Everest within our FastPass+ window. Seeing that Yeti is a priority for me on every trip!

Brian, make sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for a recent Moms Panel Monday post where several Panelists describe Mobile Ordering as a "Game Changer" for their Walt Disney World vacations.  In my opinion, not only is it a time-saver, it's a sanity saver, too!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
