If we resort hop (2 nights at AS Pop Century and 3 at Carribean), can we still get the dining plan if book with the park passes too?

    Hi Patti,

I've done some checking on this one, and I'm sorry to say the answer is probably not exactly what you were hoping for.

In order to be eligible for the dining plan, a resort reservation package must include park tickets.  When you resort "hop" you will have two separate resort reservations, therefore two "packages" that will each require park tickets.  Unfortunately this is going to increase the cost of your park tickets, here's why:

For your reservation at Caribbean Beach Resort lets assume you buy the 3-day Magic Your Way base ticket, it will run you around $226 per adult.  Then you have to buy a 2-day Magic Your Way base ticket for your reservation at Pop Century which will cost you around $160 per adult.  So your park ticket has cost you about $396 and you're eligible for the dining plan for your entire stay.

However, to compare prices if you were to purchase a 5-day Magic Your Way base ticket it would cost you about $236.  So by splitting up the reservations your park ticket prices increase significantly.  Of course this is somewhat offset by the resort savings of switching from a moderate to a value but for some reason it doesn't feel like much of a savings to me!

You of course have the option to purchase a package for your stay at Caribbean Beach Resort and include the 5-day Magic Your Way base tickets, and the dining plan for the three days.  Then simply book a room-only reservation for your Pop Century stay (and you'll be responsible for the cost of your food during those two days).

    I hope this was helpful!
