As resort guests if we drive rather than use DW transportation, will we have to pay to park? When we stayed off property I know we paid 1x per day even going to another park. But I can't remember when we stayed at SS last time if we had to pay ?

    Hi Julie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My family usually drives to Walt Disney World Resort, and I do love a magical road trip!

Julie, standard theme park parking is one of the many great benefits of staying on-property at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. You'll present your MagicBand at each theme park's parking entrance, a Cast Member will scan it to confirm you are a Resort Guest, and then...let the magic begin!

Please note that overnight self-parking at your resort comes with a nightly fee. For the most up-to-date information on your resort's current parking fee, please take a look at Walt Disney World's Parking web page. That fee will be added to your resort charges upon checkout.

When we have our car with us, my family drives to all the theme parks except Magic Kingdom Park. When driving to Magic Kingdom Park, you'll need to park, take a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then a monorail or ferryboat to Magic Kingdom Park. We just find it easier to hop on a resort bus, but I know many others stick to the comfort of their own vehicle. As Moana would say, "you know who you are" and which option will work best for your family!

Julie, please come back and see us if you have any questions as you count down to your vacation, and be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog as you continue to plan and dream. Their stories have a wonderful way of getting me excited about all the fun experiences we're going to have, treats we'll be tasting, and magic that's soon to unfold.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
