If resort check-in is at 3, how can we get our tickets if we want to go to a park that morning?

Thank you for bringing us your question about your stay at the Walt Disney World Resort! We are so excited to hear you have a trip planned!

While resort check-in is 3:00 p.m. that doesn't mean you have to wait that long for the fun to begin! My family and I usually leave our bags with Bell Services and head over to the Parks right away. If your tickets are already linked to your resort reservation on your My Disney Experience app, you can simply turn up at the gates (there's no need to stop by the lobby for that) and tap your MagicBand to enter the Park. If they are at Will Call, you will have to collect them first outside any theme Park and then link them up to your resort reservation on your My Disney experience app so you can use your MagicBand to enter the Parks (or simply tap your card to do so).

While at the Parks, you will get an email notification and/or text message indicating that your hotel room is ready. At that point, you may decide to go back to the resort for a quick meal, a dip in the pool and perhaps to freshen up a little bit and then head back to the Parks for more fun and a fireworks finale!!

If you would rather stay at the parks though, you can do that and pick up your luggage at the end of the day right after you come back from a busy but fun-packed day. It'll feel great to take a shower and slip into those un-slept in sheets!

I hope this information has been helpful, Elaine. If you need more help with your vacation planning, please come see us again on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love to help!

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
