I have a resort booked for a first trip to Disney for me and my daughter. At booking I didn't make the best decision(for our needs) and now the resort I want is completely booked, with less than 2 weeks to go is there anything you could suggest?

    Hi, Zoe!

If I am understanding your question, you are not happy with your resort choice, and want to switch to a "sold out" location.

First, try calling back to (407)W-DISNEY to see if there have been any cancellations at your desired resort. You might snap up a room, you never know. The price of your vacation might have to be adjusted, so ask for pricing.

Without knowing where you are staying, I cannot help with specific details to help you, but hopefully these tips will help make your stay a little easier:

-Complete your online check-in to let the resort know what you are hoping for in a room:  near transportation, first floor, etc. Requests are not guaranteed, but this will guide them when assigning your room
-Remember that all resorts will have convenient transportation to all the theme parks, Disney Springs, and the water parks
-Make sure you have booked your Dining Reservations and FastPass+ selections to make your days in the parks more efficient
-When arriving at your resort, take time to check out the features of your resort including the pool, activities, dining options, and bus stop locations. Once you are familiar with your home away from home, you will begin to relax.

My family always jokes that after each stay at a Disney Resort that it is now our new favorite. Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised with your decision. I am here to help if you want more information on your Disney Resort!
